“I bought three tickets, and the first one was a $15 win. So I moved on to the third ticket I bought, since I never have two winners in a row!” Wright said. “The third ticket I bought turned out to be a $10 winner, so I just assumed the one in the middle wasn’t going to win anything.”
As it turns out, her assumptions were incorrect, and the middle ticket was a $75,000 top prize winner! “I couldn’t believe it when I scratched it off. I checked it myself several times, then took it to the register and had them check it for me as well. Everyone agreed it was a big winner!”
Wright was so excited she had to go show her husband the ticket. Luckily, he works just across street at C5 Manufacturing in Kingman. “I literally ran across the highway to see him. It wasn’t the safest thing I’ve ever done, but I just couldn’t wait to show him!” said Wright. “It took about 10 minutes for him to realize that the ticket was real and we were big winners! I asked him to hold onto the ticket for me, and then went back to work.”
Wright says they plan on using the winnings to pay bills and to invest in a company. The winning ticket was sold at White’s Foodliner 1 at 856 East D Avenue in Kingman. There are still 2 top prizes left on the $10 Tiger Pride instant scratch game.
