Community Resource & Disability Fair Wednesday, September 24 – 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Municipal Building Have you ever wondered what services might be available to you in the Pratt community? Have you ever wished you knew more about the Hope Center or Pratt Community College or (you name it)? Prairie Independent Living Center, Inc. (PILR) is hosting a community resource fair with the hope that we can gather all of the area service providers together under one roof. If you would like to be a presenter at this Fair, or need more information, please contact Prairie Independent Living Center, Inc. Duane Goossen presents a bipartisan look at the State of Kansas Budget Tuesday, September 30 – 7:30 pm Pratt Community College Carpenter Auditorium Goossen served as state budget director in Kansas for 12 years in the administrations of three governors – Republican Bill Graves and Democrats Kathleen Sebelius and Mark Parkinson, and received the National Association of State Budget Directors’ Gloria Timmer Award for career achievements in a state budget office. Earlier, he represented Marion and Chase Counties for seven terms in the Kansas House of Representatives.  Duane graduated from Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas, and holds a master’s degree in public administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.  Duane currently writes and speaks about the Kansas budget and state finances. Please RSVP to [email protected]

The Pratt Public Library will have pumpkins to decorate and they are also showing a movie (rated PG, 107 minutes)!  Activities start at 5:30 and the movie will begin at 6:00 pm.  Please RSVP at [email protected] if you plan on taking  your kids to the library so we can make sure we have enough pumpkins to decorate!
