America’s Farmers Grow Communities

The Monsanto Fund is encouraging farmers in our area to sign-up and increase the chances of their favorite non-profit organization to receive a $2,500 donation. Also, drought counties that have been declared disaster areas by the USDA will receive two $2,500 donations. America’s Farmers Grow Communities winners are randomly selected by the Monsanto Fund annually, and one winner will be drawn in each eligible county.

Below is a description of both programs the Monsanto Fund has available:

  • Plant your idea – Rural community members in eligible
counties have the opportunity to suggest a local idea or initiative that farmers can consider when completing his/her Grow Communities application.
  • Double donation for drought – Due to the worst drought in 50 years, nearly 700 of the 1,271 Grow Communities counties have been declared disaster areas by the USDA. To help these counties, the Monsanto Fund is providing an additional $2,500 donation through America’s Farmers Grow Communities.SM

Make sure to plant your idea before November 30, 2012
