An Evening with Miss Kansas

IMG_9713-copy-682x1024Enjoy an evening with Miss Kansas for an evening for Hope. This event is a form of “Homecoming” for Miss Kansas. Theresa Vail will share her experiences at the Miss America Pageant and will also be demonstrating her bow and arrow performance along with a vocal selection.

Theresa Vail is a dental technician in the Kansas Army National Guard, an avid bow hunter and an advocate of empowering women by breaking down stereotypes.

This event is a fund raiser for the Hope Center in Pratt, which is an outreach of the Pratt County Ministeres Association. The Hope Center integrates partnerships of resource groups a way to coordinate efforts in the community.

Other speakers include the Rev. Scott Powell, president of the Hope Center Board of Directors, who will explain the group’s vision, and Jeanette Siemens, with a message about Circles, a program aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty.

The Hope Center will also be having an open house 3p.m to 6 p.m . Saturday November 23 and 2 to 5 pm on Sunday November 24. The Hope Center is located at 314 S. Main in Pratt formerly the Cox Communications Building.
