Barclay College was founded in 1917 by Quaker settlers in Haviland, Kansas. The college is a private, faith-based school that offers a rigorous four-year academic program, both campus and online, with a solid biblical foundation for students with evangelical faith traditions. A School of Graduate Studies offers a Master of Arts degree in seven ministry concentrations.
The mission of Barclay College is to prepare students in a Bible-centered environment for effective Christian life, service, and leadership.
Barclay is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (hlcommission.org), a regional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. It is also recognized by the Kansas Board of Regents and is also accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education, the Association of Christian Schools International, and the Kansas State Department of Education.
A full tuition scholarship is given to campus students who live in the dorm. College supporters fund this program so that students can receive a quality education with little or no debt.
The college’s main campus is located in south-central Kansas on US Highway 54/400 between Dodge City and Pratt. The campus itself is an attractive, open campus of twenty acres and eight major buildings. Barclay recently built the $9 million Ross-Ellis Center for Arts and Ministry which is home to thriving music, theater, and drama programs.
