Southwest Truck Parts teams up with Toys for Tots

Saturday, December 10th, the Southwest Truck Parts replica Mack truck with grain hopper will be parked at the Shelter Insurance office, 201 East 1st Street in Pratt. From 9 am to 2 pm the public is invited to “stuff the mini-truck” with new, unwrapped toys to be given to needy children as part of the Pratt Toys for Tots Christmas toy drive. Cash donations will also be accepted.

Nex-Tech Wireless will be hosting “Cocoa with Santa” through the Chamber of Commerce from 9 am to 11 am right next door to the replica truck and parents are encouraged to bring children to the event. Additional refreshments will be available.

The replica truck was handmade and is one of a kind. Southwest Truck Parts primarily uses the mini-truck and trailer for parades and display at special events. All toys collected will be given to children from newborn to 18 years of age who are still enrolled in high school. The children must be permanent residents of Pratt or Pratt county to receive toys.

Parents or legal guardians who wish to apply for children to receive toys for Christmas from Toys for Tots may do so by going on-line at www.Pratt-KS.toysfortots.org. If you have questions, please contact the local Toys for Tots coordinator, Jason Leslie, at 620-672-2257.
