Pilot Club of Pratt and Pilot Express Railroad – Western Day – Saturday, September 7, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. (weather permitting) at Sixth Street Park in Pratt. Come enjoy an evening of train rides, games, food and music.  The cost will be $1.00 for a ride on the train, and then the remainder of the activities are free. There will be a food booth selling food and drinks. Western music will be provided from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. by Verlan Elliot and Shawn McIntosh.Proceeds from the activities will go towards upkeep of the train along with providing grants to other community organizations or school projects.

11th Annual Ride for the Red Poker Run – Saturday, September 7, 2013 Pratt-Hutchinson. Be a part of the 11th Annual Ride for the Red Poker Run! You’ll enjoy an approximate 100 mile ride, free lunch, and a chance to win top prizes.Registration fees include: Two Poker Hands, One Shirt, Lunch and Prizes.

Health Insurance Marketplace – A Series of Educational Sessions – The Pratt Public Library and Pratt Regional Medical Center invite you to attend a series of educational sessions to learn about and access the new Health Insurance Marketplace, which was created as a result of the Affordable Care Act.

All sessions will be at Pratt Public Library at 7:00 p.m.

Understanding Your Grief: Touchstones for Hope and Healing Community Seminar – Tuesday, September 24, 7-9 p.m. Presented by Dr. Alan D. Wolfelt at First United Methodist Church, Pratt. Join us for an evening of hope and healing.  Participants will be able to quietly reflect on their losses and honor their own unique grief journey.  Open to the public and free of cost.

Death, Grief & Mourning Seminar Workshop – Wednesday, September 25, 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (check-in begins at 8:30 am) – Presented by Dr. Alan D. Wolfelt at First United Methodist Church, Pratt. This stimulating workshop will help members of the care giving community who want to enhance their knowledge and skills related to supporting people experiencing grief care and emphasize the importance of “companioning” not “treating” the mourner.
